If life were a car I'm sure I'd need a back seat driver Because I don't know what I'm doing Half the time
If life were a car I'd need GPS Navigation ‘Cause I don't know where I'm going But I'll be fine
If life were a car And I were in control I'd have surely stalled the engine Once or twice
If life were a car There's no key in my ignition And I'm calling for you
CHORUS: My back seat driver Help me get home safe Back seat driver Talking in my ear My back seat driver Making my heart race Back seat driver Oh
If life were a car Mine would have four-wheel steering Because I like extra control Under my seats
If life were a car Mine would need a service ‘Cause there's something not working Quite right
If life were a car I'd have a speeding ticket For growing up Much too fast
If life were a car The upholstery's a little stained And I'm calling on you
CHORUS
You need to help me out For I don't know where I am going You need to help me out Because I'm half way to insane You need to help me out For I don't know what I am thinking You need to help me out But it's too late…
CHORUS (x2)
(x4): If life were a car I'm sure I'd need a back seat driver
I'm not in control

Josh this was wonderful. Did you write this for your girl? She is a very lucky lady.

"back seat driver" probably more of a reference of someone that isn't there, in a way. Not in whole anyway... I dunno, it's hard to explain

Josh....probably the best thing you've ever wrote in your life, son lol. I truly adore this piece. Please say there's music to this, if not I'm doing it

I might have something down by next week. This is Daisies of the Galaxy Eels, I reckon. Carbon copy.

A little spiritual back seat driving then? Thanks. Not even that, really. A back seat driver referring more to that one friend everyone has to turn to no matter what, whereas my "Back Seat Drivers" are spread among too many people, and I don't have just that one person (apart from my girl, but you need friends, too).
Better explanation?? lol
