Starlight
Hit me in the eye now
So bright
Soaking up the sunlight
Tonight
Did you make a valuable
Insight
‘Cause you found me out
I’ve been sitting around
And staring at you
Profoundly
For some time now
Then I figured you cared
So I kissed you
Instead
And we’re all right now
It was a sunny day
Everyone was okay
But I
Was scared somehow
I wanted to investigate
But I could not relate
Because everything seemed so…
Strange
Tainted
Lucky our love was never
Sacred
I’ve been around and I’ve been
Naked
Sorry ‘bout the time that we’ve
Savoured
But that’s gone now
She was dressed up in red
And you could never
Contend
With her masquerades now
Because her body is stocked
And all the doors are
Locked
I got the spare key now
It was a time to indulge
It was a time to
Control
Her moves somehow
Tried to initiate
But I made a mistake
And everything seemed so…
Strange
Delusion
Never seemed to fool with your
Inclusion
Didn’t like the way of your
Infusion
Better make a quick
Conclusion
Or I’ll sneak away
So she locked me away
And she begged me to
“Stay”
Around a while more
And after a while I found out
What she was all
About
Pure to the damn core
There’s a message I had
But I’d be much more
Glad
To finish up here
So give me a day
My message will be relayed
But everything seemed so damn…
Strange
I’m a serial offender
Yeh, so my heart should
Render the sacrifices
And if anyone should ask
Then I shall
Bask
And reign triumphant
For the system was beat
By a kiss on the cheek
But there was more to come, now
For then history was made
And the subject was saved
Yet everything seemed so damn…
Strange
Everything was just so…
Strange
Everything just seemed so…
This is one set of lyrics I've devised for a piece of music I've written. I reckon I could do better but it is a tricky piece to get words to. I was hoping for a better funk-oriented song, but as I said, I'll do more for this piece, 3 to 5. I may alter the piece to fit around other songs, which would keep the same chords/riffs but change the form. Well... anyways, expect more
