Hi everyone ! I'm the french fan ! Yesterday I was in Paris for the show (third time I saw them) and it was a great show but I have to admit that I'm a little disapointed because of the setlist. I would have loved to hear give it away, or under the bridge, or hump de bump... But it qas a good surprise to hear the power of equality ! The stadium is huge and there was so much people but if I have to choose, I would prefer see the group at Bercy (Paris) than in a stadium. In Bercy the place is closed so the "acoustic" is better, the lights too. But it was definitly a wonderfull show !!!! I'll never forget it ! PS. Hello Dirk

hi there, i was in Paris yesterday. what a f*cking bad show. i'm so disappointed. no surprises, Ak et JF were in bad moon and not good at performing. The presence of Josh was strange and I didn't hear any benefice for the song (excepted This velvet Gloove, it was fun to have it). Chad was great, and above all Flea made the entire show by himself and alone. The winner of the day is Flea, followed by Chad. Bad sound. Bad intro. Stupid, bad and short Encore. No jams. A very little good bye when they left. They seemed to be hungry or so. AK has a really strange humour, especially yesterday and he said "bad words" in french... I was close to the stage and I made a lot of pics and vids. I'll give you the link once i'll upload it (guess it will be tomorrow). however, nice encounters: Chad, 2 times near the Champs Elysées on the night of july 5th (he's such a great guy!). I have an autograph (on a metro map, as I was there by "pure hasard"!). A guy asked him to sign his red guitar... chad seemed to be surprised tuo make an autograph on the guy's guitar. Another guy ask to have an autograph on a MM's vinyl. On july 6th, few minutes before the Pepper's performance: I saw Josh and give him a "hi!", he answered me and made me a nice smile; and I also see Clara with her boyfriend, they were making some pics of the audience. I took some pics, I'll give it to you as soon as possible. so... bad show but nice encounters. Guess they're tired and need some vacations, however they HAVE to be professional. They weren't. most of the peopls in the audience were sad of that. Also, I guess the 2 shows in Milan on november 2006 were so great that now, I expect to have shows like that ones... yesterday, it wasn't (

back home ^^ so .... the encore John solo is just a few words. It wasnt that his choice, Iva. In the first row there were 2 german fans with a Blue Sunday Sign or so, but he couldnt do that, as they told me, dont remember the reason and instead he tried to a bit of "Take it as it Comes" I wondered if it's worth it to give it an extra setlist track-number. between one of the first songs, there was a little skinny sweaty man tease by Flea, very very short AK mentioned it. Flea again did a bit of grand pappy do plenty - but well ... hhhmm.... Also somewhere there Flea did a "Bonjour, Bonjour, Bonjour" repeating there had been a few short interlude-jams, and the Don't Forget Me Outro went straight into the Cali intro, that was nice. oohh, and this "Sunny" - great! who is the original Interpret? And I also heard SOS for the first time, the Rest .... was nothing but a little bit more than just a usual setlist, very similar to Chorzow, but without EndJam after PoE, they were all in a good mood but again no eye-contact with the crowd, with a few exceptions. One was this velvet glove ! german Fan Nadja had a sign with that ..... AK saw that and said to her "this is for you, this is for you" and after the song "I love you" how long was the show? 98 minutes? still short again i loved to hear this velvet glove & PoE & Havana Affair & She's Only 18 I didn't like the crowd ..... a little bit rude, (someone hit me in my back - that hurts! - also in my knees, but that didnt hurt that much) maybe the front of stage area was too full, they said they gave away 1000 wristbands the fanclub-promise was shit - nothing happened Harry Lewinsky let us in, and yes ... he taped the show, there are more recordings i didn't like this concert that much. But the meeting my lovely Friends before and after the show was fantastic (hello Barbs ) I Like Parc des Princes much much more than Bercy, maybe because of the "Princes" ;D ParcDesPrinces June 2004 is still my personal Nr.1 concert this time the stage was at the south - not the north, maybe that was a mistake^^ Rain .... there was no rain at all, nothing like that. the AK-handwritten Setlist: teeja's fingers I like photographing OneHotGlobers Fingers ;D glad to meet her again ... she took a photo of me ...... Barbs also did, also the nice french chick in the second row, between Barbs and me and also several other...... so just to warn ya oohhh and, Iva,
"In Sowiet Russia, the band photographs YOU!"
"same" yesterday in Paris, hope i get that photo^^

i also was in paris yesterday, i would not say it was a bad show, but it was too short. a rather disappointing setlist: no song prior to BSSM, only one song from BSSM. i totally agree with la_kagol, john was in a bad mood, he did not talk to the crowd and left without saying goodbye. and yes FLEA made the entire show by himself!!!! (thank you flea you rock!!!). chad was great too. i also met chad but i have no autograph.

I'm also back home I couldn't find Carole "la_kagole" in the crowd, eventually I wrote your name on a paper in big letters and held it up, I saw two hands but not you, and 50 people were screaming your name, don't tell me you didn't notice! I was 2nd row in front of John! With my friends Marike and Angelique! Sander and his friend Gilbert didn't feel like being squeezed in the front. Sadly Bianca couldn't join us, she had a throat inflammation and felt really shite. So we had a spare ticket and wristband for sale, mission succeeded. Fanclub didn't do anything special. Wristband were very handy!! We could just walk in before this mass of people behind bars, amazing! I enjoyed this show!! Paris 07 comes close to Dortnund and Berlin 06 IMO As I said before, I don't occupy myself with setlists, but there were some beautiful moments: Power of Equality, This Velvet Glove, Don't Forget Me, Havana Affair, Snow (I always like Snow). I loved Flea's solo for Sunny!! And John's solos, as always! But my most beautiful moment since long: John smiled at me and gave me a wink !John smiled at me and gave me a wink !John smiled at me and gave me a wink !John smiled at me and gave me a wink !John smiled at me and gave me a wink !The story is this and it was totally unplanned. My frind Marike had a notebook and a pen and I was writing stuff not to get bored. Then I decided to make two small signs, saying "i love - emily" and "war - paint" (his girlfriend and her band). The first one he just 'noticed', the second one he gave me such a sweet smile and he winked, SUCH A SWEETIE Some pics by Sander ("deloused" on the BBS "frusciflea" on Pepperfans.nl) Sander & me, showing off our wristbands! Luckily we didn't need to do this: In front of The Louvre. Yes we walked all the way through Paris like THIS: Security giving water everywhere.. priceless these guys, thank you! More pics & vids coming up!!!

I saw them in Nijmegen too and this concert was definitely better, so much better! You should come to the Dutch board, everyone is so jealous, Paris was so much better! Btw: I was a bit jealous when you texted me about meeting Chad. Blackie told Marike they'd be in the Ritz, did we have the wrong hotel after all

well from where i was on the barrier in front of anthony (he recognised me ;D) there was absolutely no sign that neither ak or john were in a bad mood. quite the opposite. chad was his usual cheery self - he smiled at me ;D and even flea was chatty and way less tense than nijmegen. he said how beautiful it was for them to be there and he meant it. ak was shaking it and having fun and john was relaxed and smiley
i was begging for sps but again, it was not to be, but thats not a complaint because we had a fucking blast. two days of non stop fun!

OMG, are you joking? maybe you did this when I came to the toilets ;o) I was near you friend Sander. I looked him as I was thinking he's speaking in the VPro 2007. I guess he saw me, ask him!!!!! In RHCP france forum, we are a lot saying it was a bad concert and that we were disappointed about that.

As a rhcp fan, I can't say I enjoyed the concert. Mainly because, and this is only my humble opinion, there was little emotion conveyed through Kiedis' vocals. To me, it spoiled their performance as a band. I attended the 2nd show in Milano and I understand what Lakagol said about having too great expectations. However, as a Fru fan, last night has been an amazing time, esp. his playing on TAYTV and Don't Forget Me. Honestly, I would say that the experience was epiphanic. Waiting for the boot !

I think we should be a bit easier on Anthony, as I think he's having trouble with his throat again.Maybe that's why you say his voice wasn't as usual. I went to Live Earth today, and his voice sounded good, but when I saw a recording of it later you can see that he was spraying something into his throat and spitting into a bucket. I aggree about Milan though

Gosh, and there was I, making a whole story about it with my freaky theories. But still, I believe they wanted it because of Jim's death anniversary, so I still partly stick to my ideas. Those two songs are the exact opposites when it comes to lyrics, so this is actually very interesting. Also somewhere there Flea did a "Bonjour, Bonjour, Bonjour" repeating Do you have that? As long as it sounds as bat fuck insane as that commercial for BTW from 2002, I want to hear it. Same goes for those couple of seconds of Doors and S.O.S. the fanclub-promise was shit - nothing happened Harry Lewinsky let us in, and yes ... he taped the show, there are more recordings Niiiiice...and the Harry d00d rulez. teeja's fingers Does it mean that she was close? Gooood, I am so happy for her!!!!!!! oohhh and, Iva, "In Sowiet Russia, the band photographs YOU!" "same" yesterday in Paris, hope i get that photo^^ OK...in Sowiet France, the band photographs Henrik. Satisfied? ;D I was photographed in both Vienna and Inðija, but the Austrian photographers never put any photos of Dmitri, Šime and me anywhere...sad enough. i totally agree with la_kagol, john was in a bad mood John hardly ever talks to the crowd, he was in a great mood!!! Check his SMILE Trust me, no sign of Indija! He was smiling here too. I know because I had the same lovely experience you had in Paris (and it feels great). He was just smiling less than on the last year's tour. I think he's tired, just like I said in the other threads. Your review was beautiful, but there's one thing I am REALLY curious about. Were they giving water in paper cups or bottled water? I am curious because bottles are obviously the worst solution, but I saw it happen here. alemshaye.....!!! Did you see how I praised you earlier in this thread? ;D ;D ;D And is the vid yours? If it is, you know how cute I am when I look at you with my puppy dog eyes and say *coughpandocough* Sincerely, Cover song fetishist whose main idea of fun are cover songs by the coverboy. Covers to the people. Or something like that, anyway.

Your review was beautiful, but there's one thing I am REALLY curious about. Were they giving water in paper cups or bottled water? I am curious because bottles are obviously the worst solution, but I saw it happen here. As usual bottles weren't allowed. Security filled a large tub at the front barrier (but I guess also at the sides) with a yellow hose, and from there they took the water with plastic cups and passed them around. They were really very caring, asking people not to spill the water onto their heads and not to throw away the cups so that there would be enough and to be nice and pass the water also to the people standing behind. It was necessary, people in the middle were calling for "le l'eau" to come all the time. Only few people had to be rescued out of the public, even though there was immense pressure, so I guess it helped.
