Yeah thats a very good point, certain members here have the ability to get their poetry etc published! My friend recently sent 4 poems to a publishing company and they published 3 of them! Its a great opportunity and you's should really go for it!!!

I published a small book years ago called Baltimore Blues and Greens with a friend from the Nyurican poets. Ive published in several literary mags. When my Gateway piece of crap computer died a few years ago it took my whole harddrive with it and duh no backup disk. I have been re-typing my life's poems into our new iMac now for months. Its boring. ANyway, I've been pursing publication in more mags so I can apply for some prize monies and look substantiated to win in their eyes

Nah, it was a soft cover chapbook and I basically gave them away to friends and sold them at readings to just spread the word and get more readings. I used my real name.
Although, in retrospect, they had a beautiful cover by my friend, a well-known artist at the time, so there was some extra value...It went well. Should do it again. I love chapbooks and self-published poetry books.

I sometimes regret that I ve stopped writing, thinking its not for me, nowdays I feel a very strong urge to express myself artisticaly again, and its feels like re-descovering your potentials you thought were lost.
And the others? How come you havent even tried to win a competition, or something, you people have the talent!?
