Hi, just got back fromLive Earth and Chilli's definately upped the tempo and got the audience rocking. The upper section I was in, on both sides the people were standing and singing and then massive applausing. The only gripe I had, was that Johns guitar wasn't very loud, we could hardly hear it (maybe it was only from where we were sitting). Metallica's sounded great though. (even James Blunts bloody guitarist's sounded better!) When I got home I watched a recording of it, and you could see that poor Anthony was spitting into a bucket, and just before Danny California, he was spraying something into his throat). Is he ill again?
My dad's comment while watching this were annoying the hell out of me. I was telling him to pay attention to John's guitar playing and, instead of that, he was commenting his "lack of backside" and saying that "his legs peek out of his hips". And he does that all the time, whenever RHCP are on TV.
Basically, I was annoyed that our broadcaster dropped So Much I to, how ironic, show us a clip of no one other than Will Ferrel. Bless the livestream. And the performance itself obviously delighted the crowd, but John and Anthony both look very tired...after first song, the tempo drastically dropped, IMHO. So glad that band will have the vacation they deserve.
Pink Floyd, great, great pics, as always:) rroman, thank you for the audio Thanks to the person who video'd this as well
Yes he is. He even excused himself for being ill, if I heard well.
Yeah he said right before they left the stage that he was sorry for being sick. I saw him spray something in his mouth too and a couple of times it looked like he had a stuffy nose.
It always sucks being sick but can you imagine being a musician and having to perform like this especially at this show in front of a few million people all over the world? I don't even want anyone around me when i'm sick so imagine being a singer in a band. Can't blame him if he wasn't into it. I know I wouldn't be either but Anthony is a professional and even though he wasn't feeling 100% he still didn't let it totally hurt his performance. It sucks even attending shows when you are feeling shitty.

Life’s about your friendships, the way you love your partner, the way you care for your children. That is what life is about. Not anything about earning a hundred zillion dollars because you toured America more than anyone else. I want life to be about creativity.- Joe Strummer: 1952-2002
