We were blessed by Harri Lewinski light, and we fought for our right. I sort of expected to read this. End of rant! Bottom line is we had a great time! Funny detail: Right before John decided to do “SOS” instead of the Morrison song he couldn’t remember the chorus, I shouted as hard as I could SOS. I’m definitely sure he already had decided to do that and there’s no way he could have heard me, but it gave me a good feeling! Cheers! I believe he heard you, actually. He heard *me* at a 100 000 people show and tried to play the song I requested and I have a squeaky Donald Duck voice, so I bet he heard you. And I PMed you about the whole story and some other things, as I didn't want to rant more here. Hey! I think I saw you somewhere. Anyway I totally understand you about "rude" french people, I was totally pissed off after I couldn't get my wristbands and get into a fan pit. But however it was awesome concert. You have really great pics, well done! Come to think, didn't the same thing happen in 2004???(I bet Iva recognises my nick faster than Nadja or Henrik) I always recognise you. I am an expert in recognising the way people write, actually... And I can't wait to meet you and see Henrik and Nadja again. Well, off to harvest your photos from the show and see if there are more familiar faces in pre and after-show ones. ;D

Thanks for the cliche about rude french people! Seriously I have a friend who was near the front row too and told me people were rude (but not only the french ones), that's weird because when I saw them in 2004 in the Parc des Princes i was in the front row too and everything went well, people were nice and respectfull. I think the fact that fan club members can enter first is uncool because it's unfair they get to enter before people who arrived earlier, i'm glad it didn't happen in 2004. So maybe it's a reason of the bad ambiance of friday! Don't blame the french people!! Anyway I was a bit disapointed by the show, too short and without any surprise, but it's always great to see them play! (sorry for my english, i didn't post here for a long time!)

I think the fact that fan club members can enter first is uncool because it's unfair they get to enter before people who arrived earlier It is not. But they should have been informed that there was a fanpit. If you really want to be at front you just make sure you do that, either by coming early, either by joining the fanclub. After all privileges are what you pay for. And I know what it is to be at the entrance at 7:40 AM: been there done that. Arriving at 16:20 PM is way more comfortable So: if they wanted to be at front they should have bought a presale ticket or be nice and shut up

yeah, im with gong li on that
many of us fanclub members spend HOURS AND HOURS outside venues, show after show. just occasionally (well actually, just this once) its nice to be appreciated

Well, it wasn't exactly like that. There wasn't any special treatment for the majority of fun club members. The other thing that pissed me off was the fun club promise of the early entry wristbands. It was bullshit! This is why we chose to get ‘late’ at the venue, but thank god we were lucky to get to the front otherwise, I’d be furious. Everybody who got early at the venue (fun club member or not) got a wristband. At some point around 2 p.m. we saw a security guy with a bag full of wristbands, circling the people in line in search for those who didn’t get one, just to make sure everybody had wristbands!!! I m not kidding! It was so bad. That's the truth! I totally agree with Gong Li that presale tickets and fun club membership should pay off. You pay to be a fun club member and these are privileges that come with it, but in Paris the fun club promise was shit.

I was near you and your dear tall friend, and when a very small girl ask you and your friend just to move a little bit she had just no as an answer... but I admit you were nicer than you tall friend, which was not very hard to do. Plus I hope I am not the ponytail girl you're talking about, because I wasn't the one who push you, but just another puppet pushed by a thousand of people behind me. Well just to say, if you want "rude french people" to be nice with you, start by being nice with them. I was here at the front row and I can tell that French people were really not the worsts. Rory I'm with you!!

I don't know about the fan club thing , i heard they could enter first even if they didn't arrived first but if it's not the truth i'm sorry. It's just that i'm not into that kind of things, paying cds or concerts is enough for me, i don't like the marketing idea of the fan club but i totally respect and understand the fan club members and of course if you pay something it's normal to have advantages. It's just that in that context i can understand people could think it's unfair. Anyway i wasn't there, i was sat and i didn't have to wait for hours (i did it once it was enough for me!!) I just wanted to point the fact that french or not everybody can be stressed and agressive in those situations. (waiting for hours in the midle of a crazy crowd)
I certainly don't want to start a fight but i was offended by the comment about "rude french people".

Well just to say, if you want "rude french people" to be nice with you, start by being nice with them. I was here at the front row and I can tell that French people were really not the worsts. no .... at least not in my case at first i was 2nd row, just behind youngkentuckygirl , then let a few french girls between us --> i was nice, during support & RHCP i had been pushed and kicked everywhere by the rude people behind me, i turned around a few times, telling them not to be rude, nothing happend, then ... during Dont Forget Me .... very nice song, one of those Kids (bytheway .... those were nearly tall as i am ! ) kicked me in my back so i nearly felt down, hurt so much, that i thought these days i have broken muscles/bones/... i turned around shouted to them "Dont do THIS again - or there will be consequenses!" by pointing to the securities. what happend? nearly no kicking anymore - looked like this was the only language they could understand. French people were not the worsts? I made a different experiences

By this sentence I meant that nationality was in my sense not the reason why people were rude or not... I was really near the front row during the first 2 songs, and then I couldn't take it anymore and I went at the back of the area....
I mean that has a bit ruined my concert, and I was really disappointed because in a way I thought that those people have stole my dream, and I totally agree that this kind of behaviour is silly in the silliest way, BUT I'm sorry you do not know if the people were French or not... I am, and I can tell you that there were not that much French people at the front row.
