thankyou for the fantastic pix LOVE those socks ak ;D s0x0rZ r0x0rz ;D Instead of an olive branch, here are some socks for you. And here's one that didn't turn out well, it was after Don't Forget Me when John seemed upset and Flea was comforting him. That was so tender and beautiful.

Brenda, there would've been less shadows if people were not pushing that much. I am pretty impressed with the number of clear shots I got with this camera, but annoyed that the one with Flea hugging John didn't come out well, although I took 7-8 consecutive ones. Sad that the two of you weren't there with us or that we weren't in Udine with you...next time our paths will cross, I tell ya Of course, I couldn't have done any better, I was just joking Yeah, hope we'll soon meet in the front row! ;D

there was a competition in Croatia; they were giving away like 250 vip passes. does anybody know did any of the winners managed to meet the band or something?

VIP tickets had nothing with meeting the band. My workmate's boyfriend is a famous writer, he had a VIP ticket and he didn't meet the band, those people just got to sit on the crappy VIP stands, which were too far away from the actual stage. In fact, my boss offered me a VIP ticket, but I refused it. It's better to be on the barrier than to see the stage as a little matchbox from the back, just for the sake of seating. This is a photo taken from the barrier, look how far the VIP stands were: And since I realised I had two rather good closeups of John in the meantime, here they are:

Hey. I was there too. And I actually was embarrassed that the crowd reacted so badly to the concert. The worst part was when the concert was over and people started throwing bottles at the stage.
I for one had very much fun because I have been waiting to see the peppers for eight years already and it finally happened. I was just disappointed by the crowd... Well I guess that is the one place they will never play again

Maja, worse things were happening to them, so don't worry. I am optimistic, actually. And I am so happy you got to see them at last. I spy KikaPixie on the left: I spy Fiona, Mira, me, Sascha and Ena:

I'm in love with them again ;D no, it just made me sad that my fav band finally came close enough for me to see them and then their audience of about 100 000 people was a bitch. but hey. i had fun. finally ;D

My mother and two of our friends were watching Vienna and Inðija pics on my laptop and said that being with 16 000 and 100 000 people must've been two completely different adventures. And, well, they're right. In Vienna the stage was maybe 1 metre tall, the gap between us on the barrier and John, who was the closest to us, was about 1 metre as well, even closer when he approached us and smiled. In Inðija, they brought the stage used at the winter Olympics in Torino, more than 2 metres tall, the gap was also around 3 metres or so and whenever I'd look back, there was a huge pile of people and I couldn't see its ending. BTW, how close were you?

we weren't that close but i could see the whole thing considering the fact that i'm pretty tall. but we did squeeze trough a huge mass of people. we were... maybe ten rows from the stage? that was a prety good place because we came about five minutes before the show was about to start. i lost about half of my nerves on the way - i thought we were going to be late... did you have a vip ticket or were you just persistent enough to get to the front?
