My friend phoned me and I heard some Californication...for some reason, she calls me in the middle of that song for I think fifth concert in a row. UTB in regular part, C'mon Girl in encore...Emit Remmus out of the blue...wow Niiiice.

Just got back home. I'm really exhausted but happy. It was a fantastic show. Really, really fantastic. When they played Under the Bridge as third song I was really wondering what's going on. Before Emit Remmus AK said "We got a new dress out of the closet today." That show was full of surprises and really nice. Actually I don't like C'mon Girl but it didn't even bother me at all. Strange... I'm just glad they left away almost all of the overplayed songs like Charlie, Throw Away Your TV, Tell Me Baby, Right on Time and Warlocks (which was stalking me)... Hump de Bump was outstanding. Chris Warren and Josh played the percussion solo and then Flea put away his bass and joined in, too. So there were 4 guys hammering on the drums. That was fantastic. Yeah that drum solo was pretty extended. Get on Top was fantastic of course. Very energetic. John's solo was really nice. I'm not too sure what it was but it seemed longer than usual and very beautiful. Since it kept starting to rain again and again AK came on stage in some very fancy rain jacket. I'm sure we'll have pix of that one So Much I was great. Ah so much for now. I'll write some more stuff later.

Oh yeah that Mickey Avalon got bombed. Very, very bad. The stage was a fucking mess. Appes, bread, bottles. After like 3 songs people started throwing stuff and then it just wouldn't stop anymore. Like sometimes 5 pieces flying on stage at once. Hitting the guy, the camera man, the amps and whatever. That was bloody stupid. Sure that guy sucked and all that but still that's so respectless and wrong. Stupid people. Never saw it happening so bad in any show.

Sounds very great, indeed, Dirk. Except for that stupid Mickey Avalon- thing again.... Good thing, it didn't seem to have put the band in a shit mood.

Thanks for the photos, JC; the fourth one of John is to die for! Looks like it was also very cold...? Well, bless them, now they'll have to prepare for 40 degrees Celsius.

Seems like my friends and I were the only ones who actually thought Mickey was awesome. I mean.. he was! But the chili peppers.. hell yeah! Was in first row, Had John right in front of me a couple of times and I enjoyed the gig so much. 21st Century and Don't Forget Me were the highlights for me, but I pretty much enjoyed all of the set and thanks for the pics.

my girlfriend also liked Mickey Avalon me too .... well ..... he was funny, and i think, that AK & John also liked him, maybe they chose /asked him for support, guess thats the reason why they were sidestage all the time. they were laughing while the crowd were tossing all the things, i think laughing about Mickeys cool reactions and i thought all the time "apple, bread, bottle of water, ...." argh, why do you toss this onto the stage? i wanna have this ;D

Back to Mickey Avalon... it was really out of control. At some point he turned it around when soooooo many people were throwing stuff on stage and he was catching it and throwing it back into the crowd. He also said he was in a football country so people should kick the stuff on stage. That was funny. In the beginning he said he never saw that many people in one place and we were like ok we'll believe you. Poor guy. He opened his pants and let his jeans slip down while rapping. So he was standing there in his white slip. He looked like a bad mixture of Mick Jagger and Brian Molko. I felt really sorry for him, even if I didnt really like his music. He got my applause. And we tried to keep people around is from throwing stuff on stage...
