Wet Sand makes it's long awaited return! I hope they'll play it in Dresden. Or at least another song of SA I haven't seen them play last year.

Apparently, John was VERY upset that Mickey Avalon got booed and he said some harsher things to the part of the audience that booed Mickey...and Gayle Fine posted his letter on the official BBS, where he's explaining his reaction.

That was great to read. It is sad to hear how mad he was. In Frankfurt the audience booed Mike Watt and that made me feel terrible. I had the feeling the band was mad afterwards. Now, reading this, I wonder why there was no such reaction already back then. After all, they did boo a really close friend of the Chili Peppers'.
In Berlin we had Dizzee Rascal and I had been frightened that people would boo him, since they had already done it during the two previous Dortmund shows. But much to my amazement, everyone just had a good time instead and contributed love and made all this rap stuff like saying "Whoa" and clapping and everything. :-)
It's a shame people are booing opening acts. Of course everybody is there to see the main act, but still it is a terrible thing to witness.
Much love to John for making his point clear.

I understand where John is coming from in regard to booing. However, John seems unaware that the boos the opening act received from some of the audience members were actually directed at the fact that EVERYONE was expecting to see Gnarls Barkley. The MA dude came out with no explanation or mention of Gnarls Barkley. Had John or one of the other guys come out and offered some sort of explanation... their good friend wouldn't have been booed. Ive lost a little respect for John. His thoughts on humanity and interpersonal respect are right on, but to read him rambling about soemthing he is obviously ignorrant to, is unfortunate.

I was there in OKC and I did boo MA, partly because I was expecting Gnarls Barkley and also MA was not given an introduction or anything so nobody knew who he was and he seemed really amateur--he just starting rapping offensive lyrics in a nasally voice--i thought it was terrible. Although I pretty much hated his performane, after reading John's letter, I have to agree that booing is not respectful and in the end it's all about loving one another--even those who are a little harder to love. John's letter made me cry. I have never booed anyone before and I don't think I ever will resort to that behavior.

What are you talking about!? ::)Intro or no intro, its fucking rude to hackle and boo people, and it does come from an utter lack of self respect, hence you have no problems humiliating others either, and even enjoying it!I'm sorry but I beg to differ as well!
