Or he wrote down the first words of every verse on a sheet , as he once did with Snow ((Hey Oh)). Who knows.... ;D Once? He does that quite often. I can imagine he still does. He also did it for Venice Queen in the BTW tour

FUNKY MONKS! HOLY SHIT!
Good set too. Easily the best of the entire tour. Most BSSM stuff played at one show in a long time.

OK, so that proves that it was played bcos of some stupid ass contest Shame... It's still cool that the person didn't pick something like Around The World or Soul To Squeeze or something else always played. They were smart enough to pick something that has never been played. Remember the girl who won the VH-1 thing and could choose a song that was played and she choose a song always played (forget which one). I hate that shit. MTV also had a fanatic show a few years ago where a fan could choose 1 song and he picked Skinny Sweaty Man. Ended up the Peppers played that song alot on the Cali. tour thanks to that guy. Who knows, Funky Monks might be played more.

I think Anthony himself was quite surprised and speechless when he heard her choice. And yes that chili pepper eating fanatic dude was way cooler. Skinny Sweaty Man! Love it! ;D But I guess if I was him I wouldn't choose that particular song. Just cause it's too short.

Hopefully that's what will happen with Funky Monks though since I can't see them this tour i'd be pissed if they played it here. I'm hoping for a very average setlist here. Will make me feel better about not going. With my luck Anthony will say that John finally listened to OHM last night, loved it so much and wanted to play something from it and oh yeah, we are in such a good mood, here's Knock Me Down too ;D I think we have a better chance at ending the war than hearing Anthony say that, but my luck is shitty.

It was funny because Chad said in an article that the band makes up the setlist but the fanclub members choose one song for the setlist each night.
So of course on the official BBS a lot of people were like 'WTF! We do? How come we don't know about this?' I guess he had his information slightly confused. Someone actually emailed Gayle from their management to ask about it and she expalined that it isn't all the time and it's usually a radio station contest.
Which in a way kind of sucks. It would be cool if they had some sort way for the fanclub to pick a song for the setlist each night. If I recall correctly The Stones had some sort of online voting for a song for each night of their tour back in 1998.

Imagine if the real/true fans had the power Of course this can't be true because if it were wouldn't we at least get some rarely played stuff thrown in more often like Funky Monks or even Nobody Weird or Sex Rap? Wonder if the last two were chosen by the fans? Unless people are requesting stuff off the past three albums i'm not buying this fans pick a song stuff. Intersting how even Chad is mislead. Maybe since he was mislead the rest of the band was too. Maybe they thought that since nobody was requesting old stuff nobody wanted to hear it. I'm not a huge fan of their current managment at all and the marketing machine behind them for this album has been very sketchy. Hmmmmmmm.....RHCP CONSPIRACY!

Yeah, poor Chad, he's being fooled! Heck, we're being fooled. It's a real shame that radio contests are being set up for song picks. Don't get me wrong, it's great that there is a possibility to choose a song, but why do it through a radio contest? What's the point of the fanclub, then? I hope true fans will win all of the contest so we get to hear everything from True Men Don't Kill Coyotes to Knock Me Down and Pretty Little Ditty ;D . They should have done this in Europe, too, though. We have radio stations, too . lol

Those uniforms they wear religiously make all the concerts just the same to one another. I mean you can't really tell where they're playing because of the clothes they wear. And hardly by the setlists either. It sucks. Anyways thank you JC

Chad has been wearing the same outfit the past two tours. Even though the band have expanded their sound and got more creative their on stage dress has become very fucking boring compaired to the early days.

Didn't Chad actually wear a T-shirt and trousers on the third and fourth London show this year?

Wow 5 whole songs from BSSM! I love all the faces John pulls. You never see him just standing there looking bored. I agree about the clothes. Chad seems to have been wearing that blue outfit for YEARS.
