YES, very good point Sime!! And Hump De Bump was a request song. Do you remember when Anthony asked one guy "What Can I do for you, Sir?" and then that guy answered and AK: "we don't have this in the setlist but we'll play the short version of it, especially for you" AWWW!!! tooooo sweeettt!!! Anthony was saying 'what can i do for you sir?' to me, cause i was calling him all the time, cause i wanted him to see my banner with 'thank you for playing I Could Have Lied in Dortmund' on it. But next to me there was a girl called Nihan and she was from Berlin. She had a banner with 'You Make Life Beautiful' and 'Please play Hump De Bump' on it. I was screaming Hump De Bump with her. So when they played it, they played it for her, not for me. But yeah, they are sweet! Flea saw my banner and said: 'you're welcome' Awwww!!!! sooo cooll!! I'm so appy for you Girls!!! and thanks for asking for this song - it's just awesome for the gig!

Wohooooo, finally at home and I'm soooooo happy!!!! Almost got heart attack when I hear first sentence "40 dectetives this week", only Anth's voice, without instrumental... When I saw John for the first time I was a bit shocked 'cause I was thinking "OMG, it's not true. Can't be. I AM ON THE CONCERT!!!" and lovely when Anthony said few times "we love you, we love you, we love you..." and it was surprised for all of us to hear chorus of save the population. I'll give you pics tomorrow. I need to sleep now. Good night and Steff thanks for holding me on your shoulders during the whole show...and Henrik, I'm so glad to meet you and hope so that I will get backstage for the next concert in Milan

Where is that "tour photographer"? If you're talking about the official tour photographer, the only thing we might get is a couple of new examples of Heather's "talent". If you're talking about the lady who often takes pics at the shows the past couple of years, she is busy with work and, well, since it's impossible to be in two places at the same time..

Than I was just behind you because I saw that girl with banner that was saying sth about Hump De Bump. I had a banner also (for John) that was saying "JOHN THANKS FOR YOUR SECOND WALK" I showed it to him during Scar Tissue and he blinked few times while he was reading it than looked at me and smiled right into my eyes. I almost had a heart attack I think that playing song from Mothers Milk showed that John is dealig much easier with his problems from the past because he was the one that didn't want to play those songs. I'm so happy about him and can't stop thinking about him I said this in the email, I said this on the i-m.net board, but I will say it for the third time, because this is one of the most beautiful stories I have heard this year: WAY TO GO! It's such a beautiful thing to happen to someone and I am so glad that it happened to you:) And so happy that you and your friend finally saw them live. Also happy for the wonderful Polish girl, she knows who she is

Well, all right, so finally here’s my version of that awesome day: Because of train delays I got to Wuhlheide a lot later than I had planned. Me and my cousin arrived at the concert venue only half an hour before the fans were let inside, so there was already a huge crowd in front of us. As some of you may know Tea and I had made a deal, that we’d meet at the concert. We had been keeping contact all the time before and decided where to meet, but now it was almost impossible to find her and her friend Marijana. Because I’m such a pro when it comes to organization I had bought a Croatian flag some days before in order to make it easier to spot each other. But that was of no help. At that point. Anyway, when we finally got in, already sweating like never before in my life due to the merciless sun, I just randomly went in the space before stage, where a couple of rows had already been formed. Luckily almost in the last row I could spot lots of curly red hair: It was Tea! Found at last! So then we were all smiling, taking photos and saying how incredible it was that we actually managed to find each other. Obviously Tea had immediately fallen in love with the Croatian flag which should stay in her possession all the remaining time. ;D So time went by and we were talking, it was getting warmer and warmer, and then Dizzee Rascal (spelling?) took the stage. Of course I’ve read that at the other shows he was constantly being booed or flipped off or stuff was thrown at the stage. Much to my amazement none of this happened that night. Of course the music was most likely not everybody’s taste, but all the people partied with him and did all that rap stuff like saying “Woah” and stuff. Whilst laughing at it. Still the heat was killing me. I think it was somewhere during Dizzee’s show when Tea and Marijana got out of the crowd to get some food and drinks. When they had gotten back into the crowd I fought my way trough the people and back to them. The Croatian flag was of real help in that situation! The fans kept the good mood alive by doing the Mexican wave numerous times. It was so great to watch! And then after long waiting John came on stage first. He was only wearing his vest, so his arms were clearly to be seen all the time. He had a huge smile on his face. Then he began playing the intro with Chad and Flea. Flea only in his white pants again. Suddenly after the first note all hell broke loose and the pushing began. Even for me with my Arnold Schwarzenegger-like stature ( ) it was painful and exhausting being pushed around and kicked. Of course the worse parts where when, say, 20 people were pushed so hard that they fell and it had some kind of domino effect. Anyway of course they began with Can’t Stop followed by Dani California. Already during the first minutes Tea and Marijana held up a transparent they had made which said “Thanks for making two Croatian girls feel better” (please correct me, Tea!). Some guys behind us didn’t really appreciate this and took it away. Bastards. By the time the Peppers started Dani California I already felt like I needed to save my life and get out, which I did. Coincidently when I had made my way out, Tea was standing right in front of me again. Marijana was nowhere to be seen. By that time also the Croatian flag had been lost. Tea was already busy taking photos. Then they played Scar Tissue. And with a look in her eyes that made it impossible to say no, Tea asked me to carry her on my shoulders. Thanks to my Arnold Schwarzenegger-like stature ( )that was no problem. Later Tea would also be able to see Charlie, Snow, Californication and part of the end jam from the same VIP-seat. ;D The setlist was pretty cool, as other members have already discussed it. The two most surprising moments were when they played a bit of Hump De Bump as a fan’s request and a little Magic Johnson. And What Is Soul! Unusually they also replaced Under The Bridge with Soul To Squeeze. As always John’s solo was awesome and very touching. The atmosphere was absolutely breathtaking. And the whole band seemed to be in great playing mood. Flea talked in German a couple of times and made everybody laugh. It was really great enjoying the show together with Tea, instead of being crunched to death by fellow fans. There were also two special incidents since two fans actually managed to get on stage, but they were immediately pulled off the stage by the security guys. Seems to only happen in Berlin (see Brazil-Croatia at World Cup). Before the encore the Mexican wave had its second performance. Other than in the previous shows there was no drum solo and the four of them came back at the same time to play Soul To Squeeze followed by Give It Away. And then when everybody thought it was almost over the sheer madness began. The end jam had a combined length of almost half an hour and was so fucking incredible (by the way, I also had the feeling that the Californication intro was really really long). Such an intense musical experience. Somewhere through the jam Anthony left. And later Eckehard Ehlers joined Chad, John and Flea. I can’t describe how awesome that was! But then at some point the concert was really over. Flea and John (in his typical shy way) said a last thank you and good bye to us. What a concert. So then me and Tea were looking for Marijana who we actually found pretty quickly. We then walked over to Henrik (whose dancing I had recorded during What Is Soul ) and talked a bit. Well, I talked to some other German guy (sorry don’t know name). Henrik apparently didn’t recognize Dirk’s buddy from the East … ;D Anyway to end this again too long review I must say that it really sucked that only a few minutes after the show it wasn’t possible to buy drinks anymore. That almost killed me. Seriously. When we had left the venue I spent some more hours with Tea, Marijana and their Croatian friends in Berlin, which was lots of fun, although I was so sweating, dried out and freaking exhausted. But I impressed everybody with my incredible Croatian language skills … Soon it was already time to say goodbye. I’m really happy that I had the opportunity to go to that show and meet Tea, who’s been just great and I enjoyed being with. Big hug. Best day of my life. Full stop.
