yes, serious....they started a little before 9 PM....and did not stop until 11:05....John would *not* stop playing...he & Flea were just in a groove...i could tell that Chad was getting tired...he paused after give it away for a quick smoke..and AK went off stage...but john & flea kept playing and playing...so Chad joined back in ....for a full 15 min...it was pure insanity...nearly as loud at the end as Tool...just an awesome, awesome show....*great* song selection...plus, the video backdrops and lighting were just plain cool
flea wore a Los Angeles Lakers old-school basketball ensemble...complete with yellow headband and little yellow sneakers...looked like something you'd buy for your 8-year old boy as pajamas!! just amazing...love that guy!!
...gnarls barkley opened...they were awful, but mostly because they were coming through the house (it's a basketball arena!) and their sound was horribly muddy...too bad, they have some promise...especially the hot, hot string section playing the crazy Trans-Siberian Orchestra skinny cello and electric violins ;-)
