Sorry if this has already been ask but I was wondering what does Anthony say at the beginning of Tearjerker?, before he starts to sing "my mouth fell open..."

I hear "can you turn up the track a little bit please". Think its just so he can hear it better in headphones when recording. Must've left it in for effect.

I know this. I've heard of it too. I think you described it correctly. It means like when you're, say, in the cinema and watching some movie and are totally trapped in this scene that you think it is real and then all of the sudden one of the actors is talking about the script or about the studio or bluescreen (lightings, whatever). Or maybe you can see how the special effects are actually done. So from one second to the next, it's all fake again. It's hard to describe. In the case of Tearjerker it's like because of Anthony saying this, you're like reminded that they were only recording the song. It's something odd. You're listening to the song and then you hear something strange that doesn't really fit into the song. I guess I shouldn't try to explain it. I'm probably just confusing everybody...Stupid me. Feel free to kill me.

I did not read about this. I think it was my German teacher who once talked about it. He was like a living encyclopedia, familiar with everything and so he also knew this effect. Might have had it in music class too.

oh okay, because i read it in a book ..called give it away-The stories behind every song but the book have a lot of mistakes in it and so i thought that this what the author wrote about Tearjerker could be a mistake too. so i dont know if its correct.
