The "Common Admin", if we call it like that, is not a good idea since it contradicts your two points about poor moderation. Such an account does not help favoritism - if any - at all. It makes no difference if a moderator posts a reply using a different account. Now if you feel more explanation should be given for closing a certain thread then feel free to message one of the moderators and ask why.
Since, all is good here in Stockholm after a month of trying to remember the currencies, get used to the weather, meet new people and customs and above all after getting over the 'drink beer on every occassion throughout the day' mania, i delcare my return to the forums. That is in an active way since I'm here on a daily basis and read a lot of what's being posted. If you need to discuss something with a mod, please message me.
And to show how sweet and nice i am, i introduce my new signature:
So, funny how I've only seen three mods here in a while. I thought mods were supposed to post, to give a sense of community? I say they're doing a shoddy job.
Ok, about the posting count of the moderators. A moderator's "job" is not to make a forum interesting for those who are bored. We are not here to entertain or straggle to keep things going among you. That's your responsibility. We would like to participate and if we can help discussion develop but no, that is not part of our thankless "job" here. Don't blame the moderators if the place is slow. It happens to all communities that last for this long.

I said sense of community. Nowhere did I ask you people to entertain me. I get plenty of entertainment as it is. I'm commenting on how the moderators are never... moderating. It's always the same two people.
I included the "sense of community" right afterwards: to keep things going among you. I put the entertainment factor to stress the boredom some of you are facing when coming to the forums. I quoted your reply to get an example of a member commenting on a moderator's posting.
About moderators, moderating... yes, that is an issue we need to discuss once again. It's that time of the year again like I once said in another place in another time. The forum goes on on big cycles I guess.

I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say. This lack of moderation has been going on for some time now. I'm not the only one who has noticed it, OBVIOUSLY. Why have ten mods when the only one being, umm, "active" is a complete hypocrite? I realize the rest of you have outside lives. So maybe step down or something. Give the job to Josh or Sarah, they're dying for it.
Like I said, I don't disagree with that. It is an issue and we are now discussing it through. We will do something about it. It's true. We do need a nudge when we get "sleepy" and now we will try and work it out.

Cicatriz : Is there anybody home? Still chatting about Anthony Kiedis? Or more importantly, let us discuss John Frusciante!

Sami.: Occasionally I pop in, I think I'm the only mod who does though
