I suggest you ask permission before posting pics such as the ones of AK at the edge radio station. Hotlinking w/o asking permission is against the proboards TOS. Besides bandwidth theft like that is wrong.
I also suggest from now on when you post news, from the bbs, give some credit to the person who posted it first.

I rarely post news taken directly from BBS in the news thread (belive it or not I can research for myself),but I do in individual forums, and most of the time I do credit the person, but not always, cose sometimes the same topic has few threads started by different members so its just pointles to name them all, and sometimes I just forget. Again, Its always nice to hear from someone who watches you co closely...

I don't actually watch you that closely, I just right clicked to see where the pics of him on the edge came from and they're from a bbser who was listening and posted them on the bbs's photobucket account. Did you ask him first? As far as the news goes, I know you copied and pasted the info about him being on Dennis Miller directly from the bbs and didn't give the person who posted it there credit.

Yeah, I just checked (I forgot I ever heard about Dennis Miller show) and yeah I did copy them from somewhere, possibly BBS, If it upsets you this much, I am very sorry... Often I do many things at once and I do mention the source about 60 % of the time, why? Cose I simply dont have the time, and often news that I posted are taken without credit (that taught me that no one has monopoly on news)

Are you even going to address the bandwidth theft you're guilty of? I have two proboards myself, and I know you're not supposed to hotlink.

just a bbser: valid points, I'll grant you that. If people want to use someone else's pictures then under law they should be seeking the author's permission first. But you know as well as I do that this happens on 95% of all forums, and would be impossible to police. Imagine asking every person where their pictures came from and whether they retain ownership over them, then researching their claims, emailing the websites that they're hosted on, waiting for a reply and then sebsequently removing the pictures and notifying the poster. Impossible.
Bandwidth theft, sure... if you want. But on a free photobucket account? C'mon.
Would it be too much to ask what your proboards boards are? I wouldn't mind going and checking out how you run the place. I might be able to pick up some tips to bring back to ohgforums. While you're at it, give me the user's email address and I will ask him personally. To me these look like they're caps from a webcast. In which case, is he actually allowed to upload these pictures? Wouldn't the webcaster hold copyright and all rights reserved to them in that case? Maybe I'm wrong and the camera is on a tripod, but it seems to be holding remarkably still.
Thanks for the concern, hopefully people will think a bit more before hotlinking in future.

Are you even going to address the bandwidth theft you're guilty of? No I wasnt going to, mainly cose I forgot...I am in a good mood so I 'addressed the matter' now, happy? Also, the Dennis Miller show was NOT in the news thread, and as Ken almost to one has promision for pics they post...that has never been an issue.

Sure it may be Just a Free Photobucket account but tell that to the BBSer who it belongs to when it's bandwidth is Exceeded and he can't get his pictures online.
